China warns Google from removing the filter

The latest sensation of tech industry is looking very dramatic. Google defending the freedom of speech and China adamant over their tradition, its like a clash between two entirely different values. Personally, the whole case could make a perfect controversial Hollywood movie. For last few days, I have gone through the each news posted on two different part of the world and I have always found myself moving to and fro between ambiguous statement. [...]

The conflict between Google and China seems to be going no where. In one hand, Google is trying to make a strong stance over their statements, while China , on the other hand, seems to have turned deaf. Food prices jumped 6.2% during the month, driving the price index higher. Schmidt confirms talks with China

After weeks of ambiguous claims from China, Google CEO Eric Schmidt has confirmed that Google is indeed in talks with China. This is the first statement of Schmidt after the GMail accounts of human rights activists two months back. He told reporters at a media summit in Abu Dhabi that they are in active negotiations with the Chinese government, as quoted by the Wall Street Journal. He also added that something will happen in future [...]

Ambiguity between Google and China

After my last post on "Google China talk, is it a myth?" there seems to be a lot of development on the story. The announcement from Li Yizhong, minister of MIIT, that Google has never contacted the Chinese official took the media by surprise. This also hinted that Google has a least chance of coming through their present crisis. The hard words from Chinese official either means that some how the talk didn't [...]
