Recently, Google Chrome showcased its Chrome extensions to public. Due to the absence of extensions, users were reluctant to switch their browser but now there may be no excuses. As I was browsing over the extensions, I stumbled upon an extension named DOT which had an interesting concept. The full form of DOT goes like this – Distributed Objects of Thought. The concept is to allow you to share your thoughts in form of mini blog and get distributed instantly. It may sound like Twitter ( a micro-blogging platform ) but it is quite different in many aspects.
Each of your post is called a DOT, and will appear in any relevant articles or news in the web. Watch the video below to get the exact idea of the concept or start a quick guide here. One of the interesting thing about the product is the company working behind it. The company claims to have a different work culture and calls itself a distributed company. This merely means that there is no specific location of the company and all the employees work from home scattered around the world. Are we really seeing a new changes because these days many startups and products are being created on web through collaboration of many people.
