All this while we heard Social Networking sites could be a great platform to make new friends. A recent study published in CyberPsychology and Behaviour journal which was conducted on undergraduate students has a different story to tell.
Be careful when you surf Facebook, or your relationship status may go from “married” to “it’s complicated,” researchers warn. According the study, the more time you spend on social network, the more prone you are to be jealous. This study was conducted on 308 undergraduate students and is titled “More Information than You Ever Wanted: Does Facebook Bring Out the Green-Eyed Monster of Jealousy”

The study though concludes that there is a relationship between Facebook usage and Jealousy, Â they said further research is needed to better understand this. Moreover the study is conducted on undergraduate students and the data becomes biased to give out a generic statement such as this.

@Aakar, I agree with @Vijay Facebook is one of the most secure Social Networking sites. Even In India, the major transition that happened from Orkut to Facebook was due to higher privacy on the later.
Yes, It’s about research, So, I’ve said that, it’s may be due to privacy reason. Yes, it is secure, if people use it properly.It all happens because of facebook addiction.
