Twitter is entering our daily lives in ways we had never imagine.  Dave Britt and Justin Goeres have made a popcorn machine which makes popcorn when someone mentions #popcorn. This has been manufactured for a contest Creative Pop 2010 held by Fireworks Popcorn, a popcorn manufacturer.

So you are served a new batch of popcorn every time you tweet ‘Popcorn’. According to the duo, a custom LabVIEW program polls Twitter for any mention of #popcorn, and for each Tweet, activates a LEGO Mindstorms NXT robot to power some Rube Goldberg sort of contraption that makes popcorn one Tweet at a time.

With popcorn machine already powered on Twitter, soon we’ll be logging into Twitter instead of heading into kitchen for our lunch and dinner.
