Twitter has started an Engineering Blog for all the developers to show what they do and share the problems they come across with the world. To kick start the blog, team member Ben posted the first entry as a video which shows Twitter’s journey from April 2006 to Jan 2010 completely from development point of view.
In the blog Ben said
As a fun way to kick things off, I ran Code Swarm over a few essential production apps. Icons represent developers, and particles represent files added or modified. It doesn’t cover prototypes or contributions to open source, so it isn’t exactly scientific, but it still goes to show Twitter’s explosive growth mirrored in engineering.
The video posted is amazing not just from the point of view of the growth Twitter has witnessed but the way its made. Have a look at the video below:
