If the rumors were to be true, very soon we will be able to update our status or poke your friend on Facebook while playing that favorite game on PS3 or watching a movie. Telegraph reported that the rumors were caused after photos of Facebook logo on Play Station’s interface were leaked on the web.
Recently Microsoft had announced an integration of Twitter and Facebook on Xbox 360 and users will be able to acces it from Nov 17th. Sony has so far not made any comments about such integration. The leaked pictures suggested an improved browser and a tool that can help users change the appearance of their PS3 network profile image.
“A Facebook app would be handy, though a constant stream of status updates from heavy players might lead to mutings by less gaming-orientated friends,” wrote Devin Coldewey on technology website TechCrunch. “But it would be ridiculous to think that a all-in-one entertainment device like the PS3 wouldn’t have Facebook on it eventually.”
With Microsoft having announced the integration, their was absolutely no doubt that PS3 would have a feature in similar lines; the question was when.
